Promethean Films was born from the decision of two friends to make films around the world. Beginning in 2022, Marco Rust and Alejandro “Alex” Szymczak have spent the past years collaborating on multiple commercial and artistic projects together, most prominently Promethean’s most recent feature film, The Cedars Have Eyes.

Alejandro “Alex” Szymczak is a New York-based filmmaker. Originally hailing from Washington D.C., Alex decided filmmaking was the use of his talents are foregoing law school.

Marco Rust is a Brazilian-American producer. After studying agricultural management at Texas A&M, Marco has moved into the world of filmmaking, travelling around the world in the pursuit of stories that need to be told.
